You don't know his name yet?

The more you know him AS A FRIEND, the easier it will be.

Instead of asking him out, try just becoming his friend first. It will help your relationship grow, especially if you know who he is before you try to further the relationship.

So, in short:
1) Learn his name and just more about him...as a friend.
2) Chill--what IS your rush?
3) Focus on your relationships succeeding, not just speed dating

It sounds like you don't know the guy all that well. Just go for it. If he turns you down, his loss. Rejection may hurt, but what do you have to lose? There is this guy I know but am to chicken to ask out. Knowing him and seeing him often keeps those fears real for me. Good luck.

I asked my current BF out, still together 2.5 years later...

We started off as friends. I was teaching him the clarinet (haha, we both knew where it was heading) and he helped me with a few assignments.

Oh, that first kiss :-)

So, no, not hard. But I think it may be worth knowing his name and starting a friend-ship first!

Yes, be very careful. Sometimes a guy takes it as a sign that he's getting lucky and when he doesn't you're a tease. After asking 2 guys out I decided I won't ask anymore out. They'll have to ask me. If you don't know his name than you don't know him.

Don't ask him on a date!!!

Instead, have a party and invite him to the party. Sure, talk to him and introduce yourself - get his name, but don't ask him out right away. Once you know his name, say hi a few times, then throw a party. On the inviation, request that he "RSVP" (Call u) and when he calls you then flirt with him.

Before you "ask" him out, talk to him. He may be cute, but that doesn't mean his personality is.

Trust me, asking a guy out is A-OK, as long as you still want to go out with him after talking to him.

Good luck to you!!

Yeah good idea, you should probably know a guys name before asking him out ... it would be kind of stupid otherwise
