I can recall once when i was watching TV live telecast and at back ground same TV channel with the same reporter could be seen but with 2-3 sec previous movement.so the difference may differ from channel to channel with the technology used.

The time duration depends on location of your country. The live telecast will be broadcasted and will be recieved locally from satellites. It will take anywhere from milliseconds up to several minutes.

Not quite... Difference can vary from a few 100 milliseconds to a few seconds depending upon the decoders adn other transmission technology used by the satellite and also by receiving stations.

It takes (2 x 36500) / 300000 secs approx i.e. as the signal has to go the geo synchronous satellite and received back at receiviing dish antenna.
