i am jewish. i was an atheist for a couple of years, then i started to become more spiritual again and got really into wicca, probably because i see a lot of similarities between judaism and wicca, and then i eventually drifted back to judaism. if i wasn't jewish, i would still want to be a wiccan. i like it very much.
EDIT
i forgot to do the anti-my religion cliches:
- that judaism started all the things that people dislike about christianity (ie hell, preaching, original sin, all non-believers go to hell, etc). judaism rejects all of this concepts.
- that jews have some sort of "chosen people" compex. in judaism the idea of chosen people means nothing more than jews were the ones G-d chose to give the torah, nothing more.
- that jews have some sort of victim syndrome about anti-semtic persection. we don't, and even if we did, it would be well deserved
- that the jewish scriptures are pro-death penalty for even the smallest sins. in jewish law, there is almost no such thing as a death penalty, even in biblical times
- the jews are greedy stereotype. this one comes from the middle ages when jews were forbidden from having any occupations except money-lending. people forced jews into occupations that were classified as "greedy" and then punished and harassed them because of it. oookay...

I follow the Center Path, a Pagan religion that is still evolving.
It emphasizes the continuum of all of nature; the fact that everything exists along a spectrum, from color to temperature, to gender and sexuality.
I will not choose another religion as it took too much time and effort to find the path that was right for me. I came to my path from an exercise that my teacher (Dianic Wiccan) had me do. I needed to write my own creed, and in doing so, realized that this was my path.
To anyone who would like to learn more, email and I'll get in touch.
I don't really recognize an anti-religion as I believe that all contain a spark of truth. I do realize that there are those who believe I'm going to hell because I'm not Christian, but the only ones that raise my hackles, as it were, are those who militantly claim exclusivity. I've had wonderful conversations with street preachers and such; not the ones who act stupid, standing on their soapboxes and screaming out loud, but the ones who come up to me, seeing my pentacle, and strike up a conversation.
I enjoy talking to these partly because I do understand their scripture, and partly because I'm able to express my own beliefs. I don't agree with them, of course, but can carry on an intelligent conversation, and that is something I enjoy; an exchange of ideas.
No, I don't hate any church or broad group of people. I would rather not listen to some militants, but I do honor their choice and their faith.

Religions Are Like Text Books, Each One Teaches You Something Different. In The End, You Analyze The Information, And See What You Feel Is "True" To You. Thru Time, You'll Have Your Own Beliefs.

I am somewhere between a Christian, a Buddhist and a Jedi.
Probably another religion, I am open minded when it comes to spirituality. Atheism is a narrow minded approach to everything.
I was born a Catholic. One of the cliches I find out there among the non catholic population is that "Catholics get drunk with the priest in the basement of the church". C'mon!

Hey, thanks for paying attention to me. haha. You are so right. Non-Christians and non-Atheists don't get a whole lot of attention here.
Anyway, I'm Hindu. If I had to choose another religion, it would probably be either Buddhism or Judaism. Or more than likely, some combination of various religions.
the anti-Hindu cliches that I hate are:
that Hindus worship idols/ or commit idolatry.
that Hindus worship false gods, or many different gods.
that Hindu widows are expected to burn themselves on the funeral pyre of their husband.
that Hindus worship demons and/or Satan.
that Hindus believe that the human being is God.
that Hindus believe there is no reality to the universe (this is a confused idea of our concept of Maya).
that Hindus don't allow converts.
that Hinduism is all about caste.
that the Bhagavad Gita endorses killing.
that Hindus worship cows.

I'm a Wiccan/Druid/Green Witch type girl myself. I believe what makes sense to me so I'm kinda an all Pagan hybrid... anyway...
I wouldn't choose another religion. If you have to choose a backup you don't really believe the one you are in.
I hate when people say stuff about me being a devil worshiper. Knock it off people. I don't believe in any one person being the embodiment of evil. If you do something wrong then you did it. No copping out by saying that some evil celestial talked you into it.

I align myself as being a Laveyan Satanist
I would choose Buddhism if I were to choose another religion (two contradicting religions I know, but both seem to be a key to happiness/ a better life)
I hate how everyone thinks that Satanism is about worshiping the Devil and sacrificing small animals. Satanism has nothing to do with that.

I am a Pagan and Witch, I follow a path that closely resembles Wicca.
If I had to choose another religion, Buddhism would be my choice as I already subscribe to some of the philosophies.
I don't "hate" anything. I think it is odd that many think I worship a Christian deity named Satan.

Having a religion is not like picking the toppings on a pizza. Your brain and heart have to decide. Your question also leaves out MOST of the people in the world, Muslims and Buddhists!.
However, I think you may be referring to Agnostics; those who don't believe in a god, nor do they have a strong belief that there is no god. A wait and see sort of attitude. These people have VERY right in the world to feel that way, and it is a good logical way to be until your heart and head mesh into a religious belief, or not.

I would be unable to really choose a religion. I really like the writings of anton lavey... but I think he is more of a psychologist/manipulator than a satanist.. but I also love the world of witchcraft.. wicca astrology etc.. but I don't believe that someone can be a white witch.. so I guess.. I would lean more towards satanism if I had to choose.. but blah... I don't know..
I don't like the fact that people think that satanists are evil... satanists just realize that humans are much like animals with primitive desires... They don't really believe in doing anyone any harm... In fact they are against rape, etc..They are sort of like hedonists.. only hedonists only care about what they want, they don't care about hurting the other person..
so I don't really chose to be a satanist.. I suppose I just am one naturally.. because of my animalistic nature..
