No. I parboil chicken before (see, that's how to spell ALL the letters) I grill it so the chicken is COOKED through, and still moist and tender when grilled.

i par boil chicken before I grill it not so it doesn't catch on fire (though it helps) but to ensure that its cooked thoroughly, since chicken tends to take quite some time on the grill.

no just dont cook it when the grill is still really hot. or, if you are grilling thighs and legs, grill first and finish in the oven

No, just use smaller portions. If you have to use a whole chicken in the oven, cover with tinfoil first.
