I agree that there is a few such **** in life that possible serves no reason and that i do no longer know why it exists. undesirable concerns ensue to outstanding human beings. even with the actuality that, I do think of in God for some motives- First- If i've got no longer any God, then i'm particularly on my own, and as quickly as i haven't any diverse allies, I truly have have been given to place my wish in Him. Secondly- i replaced into born into this faith, like maximum persons. Thirdly- If there isn't any God, than surely no injury can come from beleiving in Him, till you carry out a little ingredient particularly stupid. i do no longer think Christianity is the single "way" even with the actuality that. i think of that each and every physique "outstanding" religions are a coronary heart the comparable, and that Christianity is basically my "skill."

Yeah, as mentioned earlier, you pray to build your relationship with God. Other responses sounded like they came from non-christians, but why would they be answering? How many of them have truely prayed to the living God before?
Though God does know everything and every though going on in your life, praying is like your way to let everything else go, and realize that God is in control. It's also a form of praise. If you are praising or thanking God for something, you are again expressing 1 one 1 time. Praying is also the most common way people confess their sins to God. It helps make such a terrific moment meaningful.
In short praying is like meditating, but without the purpose of buddhism. In a more accurate explanation, praying is meditating on the lord. Clearing your mind off of everything BUT the lord, in the four key praying categories.
-Admiration (worship)
-Confession
-Thanks
-Supplication (asking humbly or earnestly)
Those categories can be Acronymed down to ACTS. Easy to remember, as it is also the 5th book in the new testament.
Hope that accurately explains your question.

Well, if you're a Chritian praying is just talking to your Daddy. I pray to ask Him to forgive me of my sins. I pray to thank Him for giving me life, healthy, wonderful kids, a nice home, a car, a great job. I pray to ask His advice on what to do in times of trouble or in situations I can't figure out on my own. I pray to tell Him I love Him and that I appreciate what He's done for me in my life. I pray and ask Him to use me to make the world a better place. I pray and ask Him to change the violence, the hate and the crime I see around me. I talk to my Daddy (God) about everything.

When we came here the deal was God sends what we think - that's our one connection to "home" for the purpose of co-creatorship. When we dwell upon lack, they think the course is too easy and they send more. When we dwell upon peace and prosperity, as the natural and correct state of our lives, that's what we get.
Don't you find that you get what you expect? How often have you said "I KNEW that was going to happen!" People don't realize that they a praying all the time. The repetitive thoughts in your head act as prayer or a mantra and tells the Universe how things are going and where you wish to go from here. Thoughts become things - pick the good ones!
Peace!

The real point of praying is for the prayer to feel a measure of control over whatever uncontrollable circumstances are involved in his or her existence by exhorting some spirit or deity to come to his or her aid.

Personally I think that the main point of praying is to talk to GOD whether you are confessing, asking for forgiveness or making special requests, praying for yourself and others I think that it is an open invitation for you to talk 2 him, let him know that you are taking some time out of your day to acknowledge him and his existence. Praying helps people get through tough times and situations as well as closer to GOD and Christ!
Hope this helps!!!!!

It is something very personal.
It makes you feel better, in peace. Especially when you pray for others.
there's no real point. Stop looking for a logical explanation. People do it and there's nothing wrong with that.
I wish more people prayed, instead of doing drugs, alcoholism, hate and wars.

. I prayed for my father to come out of a coma. after his stroke I heard a voice in my head that said Go Rub His Feet. I did, he opened his eyes, I swear this is fact on my eternal soul. a voice told me that while I was praying. He lived well for nine more years.I truly belive that when a person prays they are opening themselfs to the spirit of god. which I beleive can do all things answer any question. if you listen and have faith, this is what I beleive. and know in my heart to be true. I wish you well.

As a father sometimes I wait for my kids to ask for things too. I know that the baby wants a cup, or that my daughter wants pancakes. But the first need to learn to speak more and the second needs time to decide what she wants. Also we sometimes wait for a child to come and say that he is sorry for misbehaving. He may need to think through his actions and the consequences. It might take some time. God is the perfect Father. If I can recognize these few occasions where it is best to wait for a child to ask, how many more can he see?
