Do you have something you do that you are really good at? Like knitting, playing an instrument, etc.? I had a student who was good at origami and actually brought enough paper for the class and taught everyone how to make something. It was fun and cool. If you're a knitter, for example, you could bring in some of your work and some needles and demonstrate how to knit.
Or you could do a dramatic reading of something. Halloween is around the corner--how about Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven"?
Do you speak another language? Maybe something a little more unusual, and you could teach the class how to say a few things, like stuff they would need to know how to say of they visited a country that spoke that language?
Well, good luck! Just remember: be confident in yourself and you will be fine!!

When in doubt don't forget about comedy! And what better comedy is there than Redneck Comedy? Jeff Foxworthy, "You might be a redneck." Larry the Cable guy, etc. Consider selecting a few "Redneck" examples and prove them right, or add your own sense of comedy on how "Not" to be a Redneck.... You'll do great whatever you choose... you just need to get some ideas pumping in your head. It would be helpful to know what type of speech they want you to write. But entertainment can be found in anything if you just look. Have you seen a TV commercial lately? Are there any you find particularly entertaining? Why? Why not? How does "popular culture" influence what entertainment is and how it is perceived by the public? Good Luck!!

Try finding a humorous story in a magazine or a website. Then make it your own by changing the names and places to people and places that your class will know. They will relate to the story better and you will be making it your own. Good luck

pass around plenty, use visuals, contain the audience, hmm.. possibly have a sturdy tone on your voice that may no longer uninteresting and verify you emphasize issues that have and exclamation factor or question mark. desire this helps. -gymnastadv

Talk about the many uses of the word "sh*t".
Or, if you want a safer word, try the many uses (often contradictory) of "up".
