What anti-God arguments are there that you respect?

What sort of arguments do you wish Atheists would present you with?

If you had to argue *for* Atheism (and you have to do a good job of it), what one argument would you go with?

Think of this as writing dialogue for a character on a TV show. No one is going to hold you to what you write here.

i respect these arguments:

- there is no evidence of G-d
- religion has caused a lot of divisions
- the bible seems to advocate immoral things
- a G-d who created hell cannot be a good G-d (i have to agree with this one)
- people who are very religious are blinded by it, and it obstructs seeking of scientific knowledge

i would go with the first and last arguments. atheists should present more arguments about morality being natural to humans and not dependent on religion. they should use less "arguments" where their opinion that religion is irrational is their only argument, that just makes them seem bigoted

I respect all arguments that are brought forth in a respectful and articulate manner. I wish atheists would first try and find the answers to their questions and if they didn't find the answers they would present the solid evidence against christianity. my argument wouuld be a simple question: who created God?

Only 1 out of 6 Christians even seem capable of understanding this question. What a sad commentary the first 5 answers are.

First of all I AM a Christian and I really don't respect any anti-God remarks that others make ,cause they are usually hateful.
So here it goes>>>>>

I am an atheist, I don't believe in God, I don't believe in anything, I am selfish, I am self-absorbed, I am self-efficient, I don't need anyone. Why should I, I have all I need here and since there is no after-life I don't have to worry about any repercussions about anything I do. I don't have to answer to anyone and I have no guilt about anything I do. I am a free life source with nothing to fear about any consequences. Why should I believe in God, to many rules!

I find that it’s very hard for atheists to comprehend the importance of faith. Without faith I think it’s fairly easy to make anti-god arguments, demanding proof.
It comes down to demanding proof or accepting faith.
There is absolutely no argument an atheist could make that could sway me because my faith is strong and growing stronger. But if an atheist insists upon proof, faith has little meaning.

From the atheists perspective, it would be that there is no proof. It is hard for someone who does not believe in God to understand simple faith, to know how it feels when a prayer is answered, or how it feels to knowGod's comfort late at night when one is lonely and afraid.

They haven't experienced those things, and base their non-belief on black and white concepts.

The Argument from Evil

(1) If God exists then he is omniscient, omnipotent and perfectly good.
(2) If God were omniscient, omnipotent and perfectly good then the world would not contain evil.
(3) The world contains evil.
Therefore:
(4) It is not the case that God exists.

From the atheists' standpoint, there really isn't a whole lot of counter-argument (that is reasonably valid) for the argument of proof, which is really a pretty basic argument or concern.

With that said, I am easily able to believe and love God without the "proof" that they desire.

Come up with proof that the Bible is from God, and not just ask for blind faith. (Basically, because there is lot's of proof if you actually look for it Proverbs 2:1-5)

athiests never bring up free will vs predestination from the bible point of view.
I could confuse any good Christian with that one.
