"Olay Hydrate and Cleanse" is good for any type of skin, especially DEHYDRATED SKIN that's dry from "lack of water" and not lack of oil. But it's not made for acne control.

Choose a line or range of products that's targetted towards oily and acne-prone skin.

If yours is a serious case (products don't work for you), you may need to take prescriptive Accutane from a dermatologist.

Here's basic care for acne:
Remove surface oil from the face by washing with soap and water or with medicated cleansers.

Remember to wash frequently when the face is oily, about three times a day. Continue washing even when you acne is cured.

And always remember not to squeeze or scratch pimples.

The important thing to have when it comes to treating acne is patience. Most of the treatment options for acne may take 2 or 3 months to start working. It is therefore important to give each regimen or drug enough time to work before giving up on it and moving on to other treatments.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

um in my case no i never really use a hydration for a cleanser when i break out cause it makes it worse only my olay lotion after i wash my face. use something with saliycacid in it. i absolutely love the results i got using Nuetragena Advanced Solutions 3 step acne kit $24.99 it is cheaper buying this set than to buy them seperately. i got real fast results and on the box it says it works fastier than proactive and thats a new sticker they just put on it so all the boxes may not have that on it. can get it at drugstores or bigger grociery stores. i notice red or pink fades alot over night. never over wash your face though this could cause your skin to overproduse oil and make it worse.
