Unfortunately psychiatrist are expense, as well as just about any area of health care weather it be mental/medical or both. I would not discourage you from going. But if I was concerned about the cost, which most anyone would be. I would call the office and ask if they have payment plans. You might be surprised, few people can actually afford the high dollars of therapy. Most places work with you on your budget. Just be honest tell the receptionist or manager, whomever it is you need to talk with, that the therapy is a little steep on your budget, and you would be interest in seeing about a payment plan, or a reduced therapy session or both. If this doesn't work, there are many good psychotherapist at MHMR facilities and theses fees are based on your income. Hope this helps. Take Care

If you have the money go see one a few times and see how you progress. I heard a therapist will help you release all tension and feel more relaxed. Especially if you are a type A personality. That means easily aggitated and non relaxed. Good luck

Usually the financial pressure is one of the things to "encourage" you to get better faster! That is why everyone, even the poor, pay something out of pocket.
Go to the doc, and explain your finances. You won't be the first one your doc sees that is broke. I'm betting that there are issues around your condition that are woven into your financial situation, and therefore will be part of your therapy.

Discuss your situation with her. There are clinics in most communities that work on a sliding scale fee. Some are even free if you don't earn much. If you need the help .. then get it ! Good Luck ! :)

If you can't pay.then don't go,,,but call and ask what the cost is first. There may be a way to make payments over time.
