Give yourself a fake due date. When I get a syllabus I would mark the due date for papers a week or so earlier than they were actually due. It was a ploy to fool myself into getting it done early. I would still have to do some things the day before the actual due date but it was really minor stuff.
And every else in awhile I would forget it was a fake due date and get the paper done early and have time to really make it good. Those were always my better papers.
Also I cut off all Internet assess after I have done my research otherwise I'm too tempted to do other things.

With essays, you shouldn't necessarily be worried about procrastination. In college, I did my best work at the last minute. I wrote a paper in the last 2 days of a semester-long project. My teacher said she could tell if anyone did that. And it raised my grade.

There's an easy and effective way to end procrastination. It worked for me, and works every time.
I'll tell you about it tomorrow.

Make a list of everything that you needed to do, rank them or organize them to the most important first, then try to do it and finish it, trust me the earlier you finish it, you'll be relaxed more especially in the end.

Only thing to avoid procrastination is to do things when you're supposed to. There's no shortcuts for that.
