You cannot donate 8 inches...the hair has to measure at least 10 inches....they will sell the hair if it is not 10 inches long...which is still good for the organization...but a wig will not be made out of it...it will more than likely end up in a weave that is not for cancer kids

RE:
Where do you donate hair to the Locks Of Love.?
My two daughters both cut over 8 inches of their hair off, and I was wanting to donate it to the Locks of Love for children who have lost their hair during cancer treatment. The problem is that I don't have any Ideas where to send the hair. I have all the hair all together in just a few...

I've done locks of love 2 times, and they won't accept anything under 10 inches of hair, although they may actually be raising that number. We mailed it one time and the other we went to a place. The hair must be in a ponytail, it can never have touched the floor, and there is a donation form. The address is as follows:
LOCKS OF LOVE
2925 10th Ave. North, Ste. 102
Lake Worth, FL 33461
I'm sorry you and your daughters did not realize there was a minimum length. I thought it was weird the first time I donated about 8 years ago...

go to www.locksof love.org or to a salon that accepts donations. I donated my hair, but they had to cut 10 inches. Check out what the minimum length is

I don't know if they accept pre-cut hair, but you can ask at the Hair Cuttery, or some chain like that. I know they do participate.
