I was watching Untold Stories of the ER and a the mother of a boy who had lost alot of blood would not allow him to have a transfusion. The show said it was because of their religion, but did not say what religion it was. Luckily social services signed him to a temporary guardian and he got the blood.

Jehovah's witness. I'm not a Jehovah's witness, and I would take blood any time,., but I think that episode of ER is plain wrong, if someone rather die for it's beliefs, you should respect it, cause, hell, everyone does, and nobody says anything. Soldiers do. All the time. And what happens then? They are "war heroes". So nobody has the right or the moral to stop someone of following their life and taking decisions based on their beliefs, political, religious, or whatever.

Yup Jehovahs witness. they believe the blood to be a part of their body and transfusing them or drawing blood means taking away part of their body.
