To help surrport your argument: 90% of all church tithings go right back into the church...only 10% is donated to charities.

1. Most people who refuse to give money to the rich church don't really give any to Sierra Leone either. (By the way the fact that they get their arms chopped off is not through lack of money ' it's too much money supporting the rival armies. - You could use other illustrations that would be much more effective).
2. Some "rich churches" are helping the poor, and are helping people have a caring attitude - if they are doing their job.

Why do I have to go or send someone to Sierra Leone to stop them from chopping off the arms of their children?

Christians don't just give money to church, we give to other causes too. And if you feel so much for the children of Sierra Leone, why don't you give money too?

The church isn't chopping off their arms. Africans are. Still you give money to African American organizations.

I don't know if I'd call my church rich, but they give money to misionaries who help out 3rd world countries.
