Calm down! You are all worked up over what sounds to be some type of virus. Go back to the Doctor and tell him/her what's wrong. See what they say and go from there, but going from healthy to thinking you have an STD to going to a cold is kind of a big jump! Relax. See the Doctor. You'll be fine.

You proably have some low grade infection. Your neck/throat jaw hurts because your lymph nodes are swollen because you are not feeling well (could very well be from your cold). Your pelvic pain would need to be checked out further(apparently it is not a UTI or STD from the normal urinalysis). I would not think you have contracted HIV (you used a condom so your chances of contracting it is very small anyway even if the girl was carrying the virus). Have yourself checked just for your own peace of mind. You may be getting a little paranoid, like you said. :-)

Sounds like a normal virus to me....the areas you are describing that are sore are all areas with lymph nodes. Alot of viral illnesses will cause lymph nodes to become swollen and sore. If you are also experiencing cold symptoms and have mucus in your chest ...then I would tend to go with the virus theory. Wait a week and see if it does not get better on it's own ...if not then see a doctor again. In the meantime....use some Tylenol or other over the counter medicines to help relieve your symptoms ...drink lots of fluids and rest alot.

Probably overreacting BUT get an HIV test anyway
better safe than sorry when it comes to HIV

Two to 4 weeks after exposure to the virus, up to 70 percent of HIV-infected people suffer flu-like symptoms related to the acute infection. Their immune system fights back with killer T cells (CD8+ T cells) and B-cell-produced antibodies , which dramatically reduce HIV levels. A person’s CD4+ T cell count may rebound somewhat and even approach its original level. A person may then remain free of HIV-related symptoms for years despite continuous replication of HIV in the lymphoid organs that had been seeded during the acute phase of infection.

It would take longer for symptoms of HIV to show up. Good for u if u used a condom. Was the dr testing for STD's or a UTI (which would also cause pain in the pelvic area)

I'm not a Dr. but you have the classic symptoms of a common cold. Swollen glands, runny nose, congenstion.

Probably the new strain of flu or could be viral menangitis. Ask the doc to check for the VM.

sounds like you got the bird flue to me. Do you have a pet bird? Do you have pigions in your area. Do you eat chicken or any other bird? Some hot dogs even have chicken in it. Good luck and your docter probably didn't tell you because he knew you were in trouble.
