Western countries are not better to live in than Muslim countries.
Muslim countries have less crime and families respect each other much more than the Western countries.

Wow. I applaud your bravery, especially at a time when Islam is getting a lot of bad publicity.
Usually, people tend to run toward their faith when they think its being attacked, Just look at the Christian Right in the US and how it gained prominence after 9/11.
Not an answer I'm afraid, just a Kudos. I never lived in a Muslim country so I can't really know.

First of all, from what aspect are you referring to?

I'm Malaysian and in Malaysia, non Muslims and Muslims live harmoniously. We love the cultural and religious varieties that exist in our country. In fact, during holidays and festivals Muslims and non Muslims visit each other and bring gifts. e.g. Hindus visit Muslims during Eid, Muslims visit Christians on Christmas and Hindus on Deepavali.

I am currently studying in a Western country and of course it's very different than back home. I get homesick but I always tell myself that I am very fortunate to travel and experience life abroad as it broadens my mind. I am grateful for everything :)

Adequate food, medical care, plus freedom of religion and freedom from religion. Women especially are treated much better in western countries than muslim countries where they appear to be treated to the outside world as little better than dogs

you know, you can find a lot of people that bash the white man, but when you look at society as a whole---where would you rather live?

in a modern city or town with running water in the houses, indoor plumbing, electricity, modern medicine and the freedom to do whatever you like, even worship whoever you like as long as you don't infringe on someone else's rights.

or in a godforsaken s h i t h o l e like any middle eastern muslim country. no running water, no electricity, no modern medicine, no indoor plumbing, no freedom. the local government is a throwback to 15th century feudal arab societies and God help you if you're not worshipping the 'right' god, the moon-god, Allah.

damn---hardly a difficult choice there, is it?

No i dont think that West is anyway better than the east (expect for freedom for immoral conduct). West is made by money and blood of east. Do not insult east or muslims. Read history and crusades.

well if west is really good to live then why are there 37 million people living below the Poverty line in USA alone.?. why are westerners flocking my Budhhist country in large numbers for job oppurtunities and peaceful lives?. oh dont tell me they dont. just try getting the statistics of people migrating here in East -- that will really help you. and yes it is a request from East that if people cannot be tolerant and treat everyone with respect, then please dont come to our lands. here we are all treated as equals.

Have you ever been to a Muslim country?

Yes, I am an ex-muslim too. I saw thru all the lies and moved away from Saudi Arabia, then converted to Christianity. I hope they don't find me. I don't want to be another news story of someone who was killed for seeing the truth!
