First off, take a breath and relax. Kids have been sticking things up their noses and in their ears since probably Cain and Abel. You can try taking the fuzzy things away, and brushing their hands when then stick their fingers to their noses to try to discourage them. You can try to keep a watch on them as best you can, but the truth is it's just one of those weird things little kids do. I worked in an emergency room for years, and I have taken lots of stranger things out of noses, believe me. At least the fuzz won't likely get stuck, if it tickles they'll sneeze and blow it all out again. It's the things like peanuts and olive pits, raisins, jelly beans and other like small objects you have to beware of. Some kids naturally quit on their own, and some don't quit until something gets stuck. You just do the best you can to discourage the habit at this point. They are both pretty young, and it seems like little one's are just rather curious about the empty open spots, like noses. Just brush their little hands away from the nose, and say "yuck" and make a face to get the point across. The 2 year old, you might can tell that it's a yucky habit for a bigger girl, but that's about it. If you, the parents and any others who see them do this, it should discourage the behavior fairly quickly. But if it doesn't and they eventually get an object stuck, just make the trip to the ER for removal, and assure yourself you aren't the first, and won't be the last.

sounds like a habit, like picking your nose. Habits have to be broken, but they are pretty young to understand the dangers of what they are doing. How about mom and dad taking away the fuzz filled blankets and replacing then with cotton ones that don't fuzz and pill?

it may basically be the feel. i could say basically attempt to maintain him faraway from issues with fuzz (i comprehend, it is virtually impossible). Plastic toys, have a tricky rug down, and so on. If he's teething, see if that's the reason. different than that, do exactly what you could. My son is eighteen months and likes putting something bumpy in his mouth, and could bite on something he gets his arms on.

I used to stick things up my nose all the time. One day when something gets stuck in there, they'll stop, trust me.

Put red pepper on the blanket. That'll cure 'em.

its very hard to stop unless you are willing to paddle them when you find the stuff up their nose.
