If you're referring to the long 'weiner dog', the word is spelled dachshund.

I have two dachshunds, a male and a female. They are sweet lovely dogs, the male is a bit to protective of our house though but it's okay because his bark is like a big breed dog and it protects us well. The female is quiet and funny, very timid and jumpy like she is afraid of her own shadow. She is kind though. Good luck finding a breeder. You already have a dachshund right? Take Care

Do a web search for Dachshund Rescues, you should be able to find one in your area or close to where you live.
