well as a smoker i can relate to body part's turning purple or having limbs , arm's, legs, even my head while laying down, fall asleep on me, tingling so forth. even before I smoked in school i would get sent to the nurses office because the pigment in my hand's especially when it would get cold would turn purple, it's the way i was made. you may want to get the oxygen levels in your blood tested, but if it's not that extreme buy vitamin e supplement with selenium not the other stuff selenium makes sure your body absorbs it like calcium with vitamin D, take every day for a few Weeks and see if it makes a difference, if it becomes a problem ... see your Doctor.

I possibly smoking as it stains teeth and fingers and also shrinks blood vessels so either situation may be turning your lips darker.
