I have a friend who served in Iraq. He told me he was ordered to shoot dogs. The reason being they were having problems with rabid dogs biting soldiers. You need to get all of your facts.

I don't have a "my space" account - but I do have some personal experience in 1968-69 in Viet Nam.
I never witnessed or even heard stories about fellow soldiers shooting at dogs or wildlife for practice or any other reason.
With the number of troops involved, I feel confident that any verifiable example of this behavior is an extremely isolated incident - and not a common practice.
In a group that large, there's always going to be some jerk who will do something stupid - don't allow his actions to paint the entire force with the same brush.

I agree. It is not an abuse of power, though. Just a lack of discipline and they should be punished for it. There are bad people everywere, even the U.S. Military has bad people. It should get reported to the Chain of Command or even to what the Army calls "Fraud Waste and Abuse Hotline". Thank You for not down talking the U.S. Military. I myself am a Seargent in the U.S. Army.

while in iraq we had to shoot dogs. many have rabis and are running all of the place. they attack soldiers for food, (MRE) not the actual person as food. iraqis don't care about dogs, they beat them all the time. they are not like here. alot of them are sick and shooting them is the humane thing to do. if they are just shooting wildlife that is illegal and they can be punished by military law ie camels and all that.

I have never seen anyone do this in the states, but when I was in Iraq it was the command policy to kill the wild dogs on the base with shot guns.
Animals are not people.

first of all, your question won't be a question. it rather is a assertion disguised as a question, yet we are going to leave that aside for now. Mahometans do comparable issues to non-Mahometans daily. There are 1000's of documented circumstances of Muslims no longer purely treating the Bible poorly, yet additionally taking administration of church homes and defecating and urinating on the regulate, raping and murdering nuns and others. They intentionally attack religious places and characteristic carried out so on the grounds that Mahomet and his sycophants first hijacked the valid worship of Allah by ability of the human beings interior the midsection East decrease back interior the seventh century. No Christians went right into a killing frenzy over the "Piss Christ" or the different affronts to Xtian sensibilities. Many expressed their dismay, even disgust, yet, in assessment to what happens in Mahometan international locations, there have been no riots and noone tried to burn down the "artwork" galleries that displayed it. those human beings interior the west are envisioned to shrug-off ridiculous Mahometan overreaction and say "properly, they're purely ignorant Muslims...." and not anticipate to any extent further suited of them. for somebody to have self belief that i'm incapable of rational behaviour the way we are envisioned to have self belief that of Mahometans *could* rather tick me off. there is not any assessment between one guy making a option to deal with the Quran poorly and an entire way of existence dedicated to the destruction or enslavement (dhimmitude) of all others. The shooter became purely incorrect in that his workout of his freedom became carried out on an identical time as he became interior the provider of our government (and subsequently had voluntarily provided to droop particular of his rights for a time). btw, I carry a minimum of one Bible with me everywhere (each and every now and then greater suitable than one translation) *and* I comprehend that what i'm donning *is* "purely a e book". that's the innovations interior that verify that's properly worth. many of the so-called "Imams" that hearth up the violence have been shown to no longer actually be able to examine the Arabic that they "quote" from so frequently. To worship a e book rather of the God that inspired it and the innovations it reflects, the way it style of feels that many interior the Mahometan worldwide do, is worse than bodily treating that e book poorly. A hollow in a e book might properly be solved by ability of finding at yet another replica. A hollow in one's humanity and courting with the writer isn't as truthfully patched.
