De oxy ribo nucleic acid is simply called as the DNA. It is made up of two polynuleotide strands madeup of pentose sugars and phosphate groups wounded together in spiral manner around a single axis. Inbetween the strands or chains there are nitrogen bases called as purines(adenine and guanine) and pyramidines (cytosine and thymine). The base pairing takes place between (adenine and thymine) and (cytosine and guanine). There exists hydrogen bonds between the nitrogen bases to make the two chains erect. Thus the strands are complementary to each other. If the DNA is treated with enzymes, the DNA will attain the colour of the enzyme. Most probably the colour may be light yellow.

Full form of DNA is Di-oxyribose Nuclic Acid. there fore it is made up of nuclic acids which are mainly protiens. Also it has sugar or you can say carbohydrate base. DNA is the heridity material of our cell system. You can call it the blue print of the life as it has the ability to replicate itself.

DNA is made up of alleles which are genes which are basically proteins. it's too small to have color, and besides most organic stuff is colorless anyway. open up a bio text and read all about it
