it is a different stage in life. I did not get depressed, more like overwhelmed.
but I suppose some youngsters could get depressed when they realize their freedom to be irresponsible has been compromised.

Me get depressed every year. It depends on how this person is affected. Not all men get depressed if a baby is born. It all depends on the men because everything changes on the men. If you know this men really well you should notice if he does or does not. But over all men get the depressed year round depending on the weather, situation, school, job, relationship, holidays, or anything that reminds them of a bad memory, situation that has a hard way out.

yes, but it's only temporary, he's adjusting to not being number one anymore. Even though you may be tired, try to get a nap in and spend some cuddle time with him too. You must understand how he feels and explain to him that if he took over and let you take a nap and get a shower, you may just feel like spending time alone with him after the baby goes to bed. This will all work it's self out once the baby is mobile and not demanding so much of your constant attention.

Actually, I was excited everytime, and totally stoked. I think you'll find that most men don't know why women do get depressed. Of course, after 4 kids with my wife, I have a pretty good understanding now as to why it happens.

On the radio the other day they said it had been proven that men also can suffer from depression. So if what they said on the radio was true then I guess the answer is yes!

I think men can have all the same emotions a woman can have. Men I think are just compelled to hide it because of society.

maybe... well he may feel pressured of being a father. he is not yet ready emotionally and financially. or afraid he cant raise the kid properly.
being with him will help him go through this. understand and give him support.
