I am going to a church retreat this weekend. On Friday night we are supposed to "bring a dish to share" The loccation is 60 to 75 miles away and there is a stove, an oven, and a microwave to use when we get there. What should I take? How do I transport it?
Thanks for the brianstorming. :)

This dish can be warmed when you get there.
You are travelling only appx. 1 hour so make it the day before and refridgerate it. Remove from refridgerator 1 hour before you leave. Reheat when you get there.

Spagetti Cassolrole

Can you make spagetti? If not, buy 3 cans of the best spagetti, Chef Boyardee is fine
1 small can of mushrooms, drained of the juice
chopped onion, about 1/2 a cup
1 clove of garlic, chopped, optional
about 3 to 4 cups of grated cheddar cheese. Freshly grated is better, but if you dont have time, buy the pre-grated kind in the deli section of the store.
Heat the spagetti, onion, mushrooms, and garlic in a pot until warm, then layer your cassarole dish, cheese 1st, then spagetti, cheese, spagetti, until the dish is full. The last layer should be cheese.
Cover and bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, remove the lid, and bake about 5 to 8 more minutes. You can buy pre-made garlic bread in you grocery store's bakery to go with this, if you want. Heat it, along with your cassarole. This is very cheesy, and you can top the garlic bread with it, or serve it as is. Just microwave it in the cassorole dish. Transport it in the dish you cooked it in, with the lid on or a piece of foil. EASY, and YUMMY! Have fun!

Bring a dessert.
Bake brownies or make rice krispie squares.
They are easy to make and easy to transport.
And you won't have any leftovers to bring home.
