After I had my first child it took forever for my Period to get back to normal. It got better after i started taking birth control. If you dont have a normal period in the next couple of months i would call your OB just to make sure there isnt a problem.

If you are nursing it's absolutely normal. I have two kids and I nured them both past 2 years old and didn't get my period at all for those 2 years each! I've always been perfectly regular before that. It also served as a great form of contraception. I loved being period free! Also I've read the the less periods you have the less chance of getting ovarian cancer. You might want to ask your Doc just in case to rule out anything wrong.

Are you breastfeeding? That can really wreak havoc on your period (although I didn't get mine until 7 months after she was born LOL).

If you're not b/f'ing, I wouldn't worry too much anyway. Four months does seem like a long time, but sometimes it takes a while to re-regulate.

Give your doc a call tomorrow and ask his opinion. Every pregnancy is different and your body may (and probably is) just responding differently to this pg if you're not b/f'ing.

Good luck :)
