A lone farmer rides his tractor on an island completely surrounded by water. There is no bridge to the island. He did not bring the tractor over by boat or ferry, and it was not airlifted to the island. How did the farmer get the tractor on the island?

The farmer lives in New Orleans and just dug a mote around himself, thus creating an instant body of land completely surrounded by water (i.e. island) seeing as how the water table is really shallow there. LOL!!!

It was built on the island.

The island could have been a country like Sri-Lanka, Philippines - all surrounded by water!

Perhaps the tractor was built/assembled on the island. Is there a tracto factory there? heh

The farmer's parents had brought it by one of those means listed above before he was even born. Farmer John was just born into fortune with the inheritance of his pop's Deere.
