We were discussing how xians try to prove their religion (usually in the form of missionizing) and why I, as a jew, laugh at their "proofs".
Well, we had some interesting discussion. Judge for yourselves. and comments and new entries are welcome!

1) pr = that's like a muslim proving islam to you by quoting the qoran. (oh, and I'm laughing a lot!)
2) nicholas = very interesting. thank you.
3) ogow = government? father? peace? ha!
4) seren = ...
5) don = thanks again
6) sish = the problem is that we're hated for no cause (isa. 53), much like how the egyptians treated us.
7) gad = um. ok.
8) all =
a == psalm 22 = mistranslation. ka'ari means "like a lion", not pierced. (good to speak hebrew.)
b == long life? seed? plural in verse 8 (la'mo).
9) enoch = hearing voices, you are? enough said!
10) baller = actually, we see him as the liar, psycho, heretic -- not a good guy.

I went to a Catholic High School, while there, I asked a Catholic priest what proof we have that Jesus was the son of God. He told me, "Son (I hate that condescending "son" crap), the only things we know AS FACT about the life of Jesus, is that: He lived, He died, and he affected a lot of people".
Words from a Catholic priest. How can I follow a Christian religion after that?

You obviously do not want to change your heart even though the truth is right in front of you. So my effort would be futile. You have done this to yourself. You are not better than those people who are complete skeptics of the Holy Bible. Any changing or false teachings of God's word is very wrong. Oh and, how come you are stalking David Israel? Yes he's a weirdo, but you're even weirder for answering everyone of his questions with the exact same thing. It's a little freaky to say the least. He's closer to the truth than you are.

Hey Guy, I appreciate you giving us a shot. At least you are open to opinions. Since you like OT, I'll give you some OT prophecy concerning the crucifixion of Jesus.
Psalms 22- David predates the historic time of Jesus' crucifixion by a good amount of years. I honestly don't know.
Isaiah 53- Same thing for Isaiah.
It's pretty hard to predict anything to the accuracy of these two passages. I hope this is short enough, I want you to read it. : )

I am a Christian and here are some of my thoughts.
I could be wrong, but is it true that Jews do believe that Jesus did exist but that he was just a good prophet? It seems that weather Jesus was just a prophet or the messiah, we could agree that he was a "good person." Not the type of person that would lie to everyone about who he is. If we assume Jesus was telling the truth about who he was then we must come to the conclusion that he was the messiah. But if we assume that he was lying, then we must put him off as some crazy guy who was a liar and a psycho. It just seems to me that if someone is gonna say that Jesus was a great prophet, they would have to agree that, being a great prophet, he wouldn't go around lying about his identity...

Anyway, that's just a thought, not tryin to convert anyone.

Have a good day

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

The truth is, you can't PROVE your faith to a non-believer. "The Spirit itself beareth witness with OUR spirit that we are the children of God." Romans 8:16.....salvation is an individual work between God and you, the unbeliever can see the FRUITS of your salvation, ie a change in your life, which could make them curious enough to want to get to know God themselves to see if He really IS real, but it's a personal thing, that all the jabber in the world won't convince someone about....it's a supernatural working of the Holy Spirit in the life of a repentant sinner.

So youre Jewish then? Just how much do you follow Yahweh?Do you have a serious prayer life and respect for the LORD GOD? I no longer try to prove my christianity with fairytale testimonies! The harsh realities of life have seen to that! But I will share this. About ten years ago I experienced the audible voice of God, TWICE! in one moment. And with what I have been through doing what he asked me to do I sometimes wish he never did speak to me that day!!! If its proof you are after I cant give it,and I simply wont. I think if you really want to know it will be shown to you! God knows your heart. But if he ever speaks to you audibly there will be no doubt, you will just know its him, no mistake, every atom of youre being will be alive, like a warm low voltage current in and around you.Strange, but unmistakeable.Like I said, I am not trying to prove anything, but I am sharing my real life experience, which by the way is no fairytale! All I do to witness the life of God in my life is to simply be myself!, and give help to others where possible in normal everyday life. Simple!
I have a scripture for you- proverbs 30vs4. Shalom to you.

Just realized that I made a mistake in my answer. I said -- Funny Isn't it. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Jewish scripture in their theology.

Thanks for pointing it out.

I meant to type mythology not theology.

xians. said like the long form? for being god's chosen people, jews sure have had a sucky time of it for the last several centuries. maybe you should convert and reap the benefits of having a real god as a patron. if one exists.

You have the right to laugh if that's how you feel. You have the right to your opinion. We don't need proof, just faith. If it makes us happy, how does it harm you?
As you say, proselytizing is ineffective. We can only spread our faith by living example.
