When you call to set up a 1st blind date with a girl,how long should you talk and what should the guy say ?

Question

since it is a blind date (from a dating service), what should I say
and how long should I talk to be successful at giving a good
impression- and should I ask her where she wants to go?
If we talk too much, we won't have anything to say and I don't
want any awkward periods. How do I keep it light and
what should I say or not say or do or not do ib this
important first conversation???

Just breathe and be yourself. Make small talk on the phone to get an idea of what she is interested in and then you can use that as a guide for your date. Also give little details about yourself so she feels more comfortable too. If you two are compatible you will never run out of things to say. Make sure to pay attention to what she is saying and seem interested in it... and most of all be honest. good luck and have fun

You don't know how to talk to women that's why you're going to a Dating Service? When you call her ask what she likes to eat (or do) and what is a good time to pick her up. Also ask what she is going to wear (so you don't show up in jeans and T-shirt and she's wearing an Evening Dress). Make sure you have the correct address of where to meet (if not at her house). Every thing else should be said and done face to face.
*P.S: When she talks make sure you listen. Don't look at any other women in the place. For the time you are on the date, she is the only woman in the world. Don't talk about your Mother, Sister, or Ex-girlfriends. Answer all questions honestly (the truth is easier to remember), but not with to much detail.

well first you need to ask her what she likes (drinks) ..what kind of place she prefers (*bars, clubs, restaurants), what food she likes (eg) veggie) etc....joke a little...if she laughs then your in...don't talk for too long coz you need something to talk about when you see her...good luck...by the way....turn off your mobile phone when you meet her it's very rude to be sat there chatting to someone when your on a date...also never talk about your ex and DONT go into a big scenario about your life story, TMI may put her off... take it slow and relax...get to know her, you never know, she could be your future girlfriend/wife...
