Anxiety attacks are terrible. I've had a couple in the past. The only I can reccomend is to go see a doc and get some as needed meds. Something like Xanax or Klonopin will work. Don't live like that anymore. Anxiety can be terrible to deal with.

I've had a lot of anxiety problems in recent years. The best thing I've come up with is to use visualization to try to place yourself mentally in a different, more relaxing place. Also check out some relaxation exercises online, especially for breathing. It would be a good idea for you to make an appointment with a psychologist as therapy can help, too. The doc can prescribe meds if you really need them. Good luck, hang in there. You're not alone. Keep in mind that it probably took a while to develop the anxiety, so it will take a while to get rid of it, too.

Go to: http://www.anxietynetwork.com/hstop.html look under Generalized Anxiety Disorders, they have allot of helpful suggestions. Anxiety is actually a self protection mechanism, a useful thing, till it gets out of control and becomes a problem. You can download a hypnosis MP3 (about $20) on controlling anxiety that might help. It can take up to 21 days to reprogram your thinking. Always remember with anxiety you are not alone, it happens. Best of luck.

Yes, I have had a couple of anxiety attacks and they're not fun by any stretch of the imagination. Since yours are increasing, it would be best for you to go to a doctor for some help in this area. The doctor can help you find out why they are happening and can give you some meds temporarily to make them stop. Please don't wait - there is help and there is nothing to lose by not consulting a doctor.

Hi there, I just laugh about my past 3 years of panic now. I was not able to go anywhere without carrying xanax. Fear of having another attack was the most important subject of my days. When i first found joe barry's web site i started to cry because of my happiness.

I have anxiety attacks and noticed that they tend to get worse when I am stressed, tense, worried about things or have something on mind. Sometimes not enough rest causes it. Try starting a journal and make notes on when the attacks occur, that way you can narrow down what is causing them. Most importantly go see a doctor. Feel better - I know they can be scary!

I have had them a few times. I had one a few years ago and more recently a few months ago. The doctor said that it was a result of stress and put me on some medication (xanax). If you dont want to take meds 0 I guess you can try to find the source of the stress and change that situation. Hope that helps. Good Luck

stressors in life have a big part in an anxiety attack. meds aren't always the answer though. go to the doc though to make sure it's not something neurological though.

The key difference between someone who is cured of panic attacks and those who are not is really very simple. The one who is cured is not afraid of panic attacks. I’ll try to show you how to one of these people as well.
What if I told you the trick to ending panic attacks is to want to have one!
That sounds strange but let me explain.
