There are 2 kinds of christians contemporary who work on there own sins do not judge other peoples sins as that is not there job but Gods and then work outwardly to help the poor etc etc.
Then there are the ones who Judge others and get a great big ego boost from it like drugs replacing God with smug superiority. Convinced they are better than everyone they never work on themselves they close the door to the rest of the world and HOPE that God will finally Kill all those people who are not like them. Its what Jesus called the anti christ preachers who use hate and fear to manipulate there flock.LOOK at those sinners they will burn in hell throw money in the basket.
Contemporary Christians are doing what Jesus Tells them to do. Working on the Log in there own eyes while helping the least among them. They preach with there actions and that is hard to look at when your from a church that just spews fear.

Dear Concerned, I do belive that the contemporary church is leading peole away from the cross and they dont even know it. the reason is because they are preaching another Gospel, they preach "come to Jesus, he will give you peace hapiness and money, Jesus is waiting for you." The real Gospel is Law to the prud and Grace to the humble. we have to use the law to bring the knowledge of sin, and we have to preach future judgement and the reality of hell. this may seem harsh, but the result is that the Convert comes to Jesus thirsting after righteousness. he comes to Jesus with thankfullness that he has died despite the fact Gods hand of Justce should have come upon them.
If you curious as to how to Go about doing this, you simply take the person through the Ten Commandments. and ask the if they would be innocent or guilty. speak of Judgement and hell and then tell the good news. they will be thankful to you for telling them and they will be soundly saved.
Hope this helps
God Bless

It's called dealing with the changes of society. People these days are immediately turned off by threats of hell and being accused of being sinners. What's wrong with just showing the love Jesus showed and seeing how far that gets you these days? (Answer: A lot further.) With numerous options of religions available to people, including many without messages of sin and hell, that may not be the most politic way to start off.

Some I think are misleading but some have the right message. You have to look over what you listen to so you won't be fooled.

Yes, I do believe that there is an unwillingness to sacrifice yourself these days either for relatives or strangers or in some cases for children.
