you are more than likely a little on the over weight side....and you are also eating to large of a meal at one sitting......this is easy....cut down your meal size and get a little exercise.....post a new one in 3 months.........good luck...... ;)

Your stomache starts digesting all those nutrients and then they travel through your bloodstream to all your body. Your heart is doing its job of pumping the blood so that all these nutrients get to where they are needed. If you can actually feel these palpitations then I suggest you go see a heart specialist and also modify your diet for healthy foods with the supervision of a dietitian. Remember: We are what we eat...

Try eating smaller portions and completely chewing what you eat. Sometimes eating too much and too fast will cause you to have an increase in your respiration and heartbeat. Your body has to do a lot of work to digest food and convert it. Try slowing down and eating less at a sitting.

Heart palpitations can be caused by gas.

It has happened to me. Do you fart within a few minutes after the palpitations?

maybe there's too much fat in what you are eating and that can clog your arteries (go to your heart)
