I have taught English to kids from other countries (ESL) for many years. Most of them have, like you, never seen or felt snow before. When it first snows here, usually in late November or early December, I always stop class and take the kids outside for a few minutes to have a chance to see it for themselves. It's like magic falling all around you, on you...that disappears once it touches you. I always tell them to stick out their tongue...catching snowflakes this way is delightful. Cold and then...melted. You can watch it hitting the ground and staying, if it's cold enough, or instantly melting and disappearing. Did you know that no 2 snow crystals are exactly alike? Where I live in Maryland it doesn't snow that often, so the many people from other countries don't know how to drive in snow, and there are always a lot of accidents. And, to be truthful, the teachers are as happy as the kids when school is closed.

Here is a link to snowflake photographs that were taken by Wilson Bentley...they're just amazing! http://snowflakebentley.com/snowflakes.htm
I hope that you get a chance to experience snow sometime in your life!

Mostly it feels cold. It feels good when it's feathery and dropping gently. Once I was walking home in a very bad storm with vertical winds and when I got inside the door I looked like a ghost! I had a shelf of snow on my shoulders. Now that was not good, and the snow had scratched my face (even with a scarf on) and it was all red. But it is pretty when it piles up on the trees, and you can actually hear it fall if you're in the country or it's quiet. (and that can be very romantic, too -- oh that's a nice memory, kissing between the snowflakes!)

Its snowing here in Colorado right now. :) Im looking at it through my dorm window.

It feels different depending on the snow. Its of course cold and wet once it melts. It sort of tickles if its big and fluffy, other times it feels almost like very fine sand spraying against you.

If you have a refrigerator or something like that, theres usually hunks of frozen ice in it. Scrape some off into shavings and sprinkle it on you- feels very similar.

WOW- Completely undescribable. I love snow. We only get it a few times a year. I live in NC. The soft and powdery kind is the best.

It's pretty, but cold! I recommend warm clothing. It's so nice to see a landscape covered in white....until you have to shovel the snow.

Its hard to explain. Its real exciting at first, but than after you have to drive in it and when freezing rain comes along with it, it gets pretty old. It is nice to have around christmas time.

But it can be enjoyable only when your clothes is warm enough.
