I use Matrix Sleek Look Iron Smoother. You need to coat your hair to shield it from damage caused by the heat . I love this product, and the bottle lasts forever.

Ok I air dry my hair because its better and I also straighten my hair, I recommend spraying in a heat protecting spray as well as some leave-in conditioner, and use a deep conditioner at least once a week. Also another good product I've heard that helps is hot oils that are made to be put in your hair, I also have a friend who uses a hair goop (conditioner) made out of 2 eggs mixed with about a cup of mayonnaise (this is for quite a lot of hair) spread it on your hair leave it one for about 10 minutes then wash it out well and condition. Also try not to wash your hair more then once every 2 days.
