well not all cats and kittens, but a high number of them do. Most common we see kittens with worms rather than adult cats. Roundworm, coccidia, and tapeworms are the most popular worms to find in any cat. If you suspect worms your cat will be bloated, and quite possibly will have diarrhea...most likely diarrhea with coccidia...If you want to bring a sample to your vet to look for these eggs, you can. just drop it off. If you have any other questions feel free to email me. Goodluck!

no longer all kittens are born with worms. in case you have an indoor cat and that's freed from fleas and has formerly been examined for worms, the kittens won't have them. If a cat is permitted outdoors and has no longer had a flea preventative utilized which incorporate earnings, the kittens and mom cat will maximum probable have worms. the two maximum common varieties of worms are tape and around trojan horse. Tape is led to while the cat ingests the flea eggs while cleansing their fur. The trojan horse is in the gut and can be many ft long. while they bypass they wreck off and appear like grains of rice. around trojan horse is from tainted foodstuff which incorporate eating yet another animal with the trojan horse. The around trojan horse could be an prolonged trojan horse and lives in the tummy. Cats will vomit those up and bypass them in the time of the stools. Droncet is the medicine of selection for worms. purchase it from the vet. over the counter products do no longer artwork. they could kill the trojan horse yet no longer the egg so extra will hatch and the cycle will proceed. never supply a sparkling born kitten worming medicine, touch the vet to work out at what age is risk-free. comparable with the mummy cat. while nursing, the kittens can not are available in touch with the flea medicine. if your cat is pregnant, touch the vet and ask approximately earnings. i hit upon this as a results of fact the terrific for cats. to evade re-infestation, shop your pets risk-free with flea medicine. human beings can deliver fleas into the domicile on outfits, yet while your cats are risk-free its no longer likely a great number of a difficulty. desire this has helped.

No, not all of them do, but a lot, especially if they are indoor/outdoor cats. One thing you can do to help prevent deceases and even worms, is do not feed them outside. Birds, such as pigions, carry deceases that can make dogs & cats sick and even kill them. When I was a child, my cat got worms, and we didn't have any de-wormer, so my Dad gave her tobacco in her cat food and it actually got rid of her worms! Just a thought in case that's the "case". Well, good luck.

No. Ive had cats and kittens for the past 24 years, and none have ever had this. But, reading on this site, you would think that ALL cats do - there are so many posting about it! I don't know where it comes from....

Unfortunatly it is very normal b/c kitten get it from their mom during pregnancy. Don't worry, it is treated very easily. Should be repeated 2-3 times a year if cat goes out.
