Ditto, Lilbitt!
However, some vets will tell you when the pup becomes a senior, if he is not likely to get the disease, the risk of vaccination actually outweighs the risk of infection.
The safe bet is after 6 months, once a year, every year.
Good Luck:)

Besides keeping your dog in an isolation bubble the only prevention for Parvovirus is vaccinations. My veterinarian recommends puppy shots every three weeks until the age of 5 months. Make sure the vaccine is specifically for puppies since it has extra immunities not found in adult vaccines. Adult dogs should get yearly booster shots. Adults seldom contract Parvo since they build up an immunity to the virus over the years if they have been on a yearly vaccination schedule.

A puppy should be started on parvo shots at 5 to 6 wks, old, then should receive boosters every two wks. til it receives at least 4 vaccinations, and then repeat at one year of age and annually thereafter.
