It was a West Bend's Popcorn popper. You popped the popcorn then turned it upside down and the lid was a bowl.

We had one too I think it was a popsecret air popper...it all came out of the orange chute on the top right? And a little warming dish on top to warm butter when the popcorn was heating...not sure if that's the one you are thinking of or not.

West Bend sounds right. I remember getting one as a high school graduation gift....at that time it was THE gift for someone going off to college. I used it a LOT. Haven't seen one in years, though.

Yes, I remember that thing! And yes, I believe it was West Bend. So much easier these days with the microwave!

Oh, yeah. I remember when that Jiffy Pop popcorn (not sure if that's the name or not) stuff that popped on the stove (in the pan you bought it in) was such a marvel! I never got the knack for popping it on the stove, but my Sister still does it that way and wouldn't touch the microwave stuff!!

I believe it was made by sunbeam. That was the best popcorn. Microwave does not compare.

Yep. Orange, yellow and green. We even had one that was little more than a heated bowl with huge lid.
