I got my ears pierced when I turned 17..late I know but I never really wanted to get them pierced. I'm 18 now and for some reason, my holes are not healing. I've tried so many things to help heal them but they seem to always puss. When I leave my earrings out for even a day, they close up and I'm sick of poking my earrings through because it really hurts.

I was just wondering if any of you had any tips. I only wear gold earrings yet the problem still persists. Thanks a bunch!

It sounds as if you're allergic to the gold in your earrings. Try a lesser quantity of gold (i.e. 14 karat or 10 karat) rather than 24 karat. If that still bothers you then you'll need to try hypoallergenic earrings.

Be sure to clean your ears well every day with alcohol or another disinfectant and try to not pick at the puss or mess with the earrings too much throughout the day. Clean the earrings with alcohol, etc. at night when you remove them.

You may also have an issue from hair products irritating your ears so be sure to clean them after doing your hair and before putting in the earrings. Be sure your earrings are stored where they won't get cosmetics and hair products on them.

If you still can't find a satisfactory solution then talk to your doctor or dermatologist about other possibilities or let the holes grow closed and wear magnetic or clip-on earrings.

Use Peroxide 2 times a day and make sure you're not alergic to your earings! Keep simple earings in you'll find that it enhances your beauty!

you could try dipping the posts into antibiotic before putting the earring in.

otherwise, it sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to the metal posts...people can be allergic to gold. you may need to try surgical steel.

otherwise let them close, and forget about it. it may not be worth the fuss!

You should do what one of the others said, put medicated vaseline on the posts, but you should also try a different kind of metal... your body may be rejecting them.
Good luck!

it continues to be healing, and it rather is such as you have a sore and you maintain picking the scab. as quickly because it has sealed itself you would be ok. desire you're utilising some thing to maintain it sparkling putting in greater low priced rings is mostly a actual concern.
