Being able to communicate ideas, share, discuss and win followers. The most important skill in a leader is being able to debate well. This is also in court. You should be able to make good arguments and LOVE the thrill of "owning people". Plus you get the see the other side of the argument. At the end, if they are better, you might be joining them. Its just a fight with no guns.

I love it when a healthy debate turns into verbal and personal insults! Better yet some fist fights and street fighting.

I like the adrenaline rush that suddenly speeds up the brain and its working 10x more than usual. Haha. also the cute guys that u can show off to.

you might actually learn something new for one thing and if you really are passionate about a certain subject you can sway peoples opinions to change their mind who otherwise might not have agreed with you in the first place

when i debate, i like to keep my mind open to learn from the other side, so not only could i strengthen my own opinions, but perhaps convert if the other side makes more sense

It's timed.... so the arguing cannot just go on forever, like it often does when two ignorant stubborn people are talking in real life.
