I went to feed my cats in the barn this morning, and seen the kittens
was missing. I thought maybe the mother had moved them. But after
looking around, I found all five had been killed, and one of them had there head ate off. What would do this. I am just sick about this.

The tom cat (daddy cat) most likely. They are known to come back around and kill off the male kittens. They don't want any other competition for the female. You probably had a litter of all males! Other animals wouldn't have killed and left the uneaten carcases laying around. The headless kitten was left by the Tom also.

Could be a coyote, fox, dog, tom cat, or an owl can prey on kittens. The mother generally wouldn't kill them herself at that age. I'm sorry for your loss. What we usually did with are barn kittens was keep them and the mom in the mud room until they were 8 weeks old, but we still lost a few to predators and diseases.

The mother may have killed them.I had a cat many years ago who had a litter of kittens. She kept moving three of them and leaving one by itself. Finally we put her in a room with all of the kittens so she couldn't leave the one alone. The next day,to our horror, she had killed that kitten and chewed off it's head!We asked our vet and he said that there was probably something wrong with the kitten, which was why the mom kept taking the other kittens away from it.She knew something that we didn't.So perhaps there was something wrong with them and she killed them. It's nature's way of dealing with sick baby animals. Now ,please get your mom cat spayed.

Coons and possums. If you cat has another litter, keep the babies indoors until they are able to fend for themselves. Very sad. We live in a rural area and cannot keep an outdoor cat. The coons and possum come up on the front porch and eat the cat food. They are ravenous. My heart goes out to you.

Depends where you live in the world. Where I live ( Ontario) my money would be on a racoon or a wezel. If you close to water, could be a mink, (i ve seen them get chipmunks) but slim chance. But again I bet on the racoon. Sorry for how you found the lil ones and your lost.

it could be a lot of this an owl or many more or one suggestion the mom could have done it. Mom animals will do this if they are sick or weaklings so the mom doesn't have to give her energy on feeding them if this is the case( please don't be mad at her it is just instincts kicking in)

Maybe the mom did it. You can maybe get a vet to look at some of the kittens. The vet might be able to distinguish the bite marks.

most of the animals that other have named here would have taken the whole kitten
the one animal that eats heads is the weasel (mink or fisher)
they are notorious for this
if you have them in your area you will need to protect your kittens by bringing them inside until they are able to take care of themselves
