I've run Norton virus scan, deleted entired hard drive and reinstalled Windows and the problemstill occurs. I'm lost. Downloaded firefox but my computer won't allow me to run it and compllete the installation. I've tried it in safe mode also. Please help!!

Run the cmd.exe and try runing the command FIXMBR, that should clean your boot sector wich may have some sort of virus.

~ Backup all your important files and make sure you have a hard copy...
~ Then reinstall ...
~ It will save all your strength in how to figure it out ...
~ It's always nice to have a fresh clean OS ... [once a year]

if that keeps happening you should go to a proffesinal.
