Yes definitely. The same happened to me while working a fast-food chain (I can't say the name) when the manager would make little comments whenever I was around about younger women and older men, I was 16 and he was well into his forties which made me very uncomfortable. I was able to tell his superiors and they transferred him to another restaurant.

Try to warn your coworker, NOT AS A WAY TO DETER HER COMPLAINT, but just give her a heads up that sometimes a sexual harrassment complaint can follow you wherever you go and it gives you a reputation. Sometimes men will resent the woman for being a killjoy or making a mountain out of a mole hill, and things may just get worse. But if she is really uncomfortable, she shouldn't let that stop her because other female coworkers may feel the same way.

Sexual harassment is prohibited in the workplace under a federal law called Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination. Two types of behavior may be considered sexual harassment. One is unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other conduct of a sexual nature directed toward an individual because of that individual's gender, if submission to the conduct is made a term or condition of employment or is the basis for employment decisions about the individual. The other type of sexually harassing behavior is unwelcome verbal or physical conduct that is sufficiently severe or pervasive to create a hostile, intimidating or offensive work environment. Each state has different addendums, too.

Occasional comments like "Hey, baby" or "honey" will not likely be considered sexual harassment without more offensive or more frequent episodes. However, if the offensive behavior is extremely severe, such as a sexual assault, a single incident could be enough to be considered sexual harassment.

The offensive behavior must also be unwelcome. Unwelcomeness may be indicated by complaints made by the affected employee to the perpetrator or to other people. It also may be expressed in nonverbal ways such as the affected employee's trying to avoid the perpetrator.

Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 requires that an employee report sex discrimination to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) within 300 days - - but agency rules state that an employee should report the sexual harassment within 240 days.

read your employee handbook and look at the sexual harrassment section.........it is a form of sexual harrassment. take the issue to management or HR but make sure this is what you really want to do first......there will be results and some of them may not be pleasant. look at all the options before putting it on paper: eg. have the men been made aware of their inappropriate comments?

Yes this is known as harrassment and also creating a hostile work enviroment. She should notify the management and voice her concerns, if that doesnt halp the she should seek legal counsel.
