Well, I would give you this advice. If either of you have any type of criminal record, especially a felony, a history of abuse or abusive relationships, (or if the 18 year old is from an abusive family, since they could have no experience in relationships) also as long as you plan to wait a while until the eighteen year old is out of college, knows that they really are committed to you and that they have the life experience to make that decision, then I would try it and see how it worked. Be advised that the number one cause of divorce is marrying before you are 25. If you love each other enough, then what are a couple of years? Otherwise, both of you need to find people nearer to your own ages. I think like most people, it sounds ridiculous. My mother and father were exactly 20 years apart as well, and they were abusive to each other and ended up getting divorced and tearing mine and my siblings lives apart. Some decisions are better left to mature adults.

Well, either you're rich or just hopeful. While the biology is certainly possible, why would an 18 want to marry or mess around with a 38 year old? Let's face it, just too many years.
Stranger things have happened but truly, unless there is significant amounts of money involved, you look like Brad Pitt (assuming you're a man), and 18 year old and a 38 year just would not have enough in common.

Ummm, I'm sure they can. But, that's a little to much of a middle age crisis. There's nothing wrong with an age difference I am 25 and hubby is 30, but he is not old enough to be my father. You are not old enough to be my father for that matter. I say no more than 10 years difference. Besides why would you want to date someone who doesn't know how to support herself yet. At 18 you are just getting out on your own. Go for someone in their 20's. They are still younger but are a little more mature.

Not unless you want to be considred disgusting.........first off, the 18 year old is still growing up...second of all the 38 year old is 20 years older than the 18 year old..........................think about this, the 38 year old will be 60 when the child graduates and the 18 year old would be like 40 when the child graduates..yeah...eww...

I'm pretty sure an 18yr old wouldn't be too keen to be fruitful and multiply with a man old enough to be her father.

If you are looking from a Biblical aspect, I'd say you'd have to be married first (it's best if they consent to the marriage). Then, yes.
