Yes, that's very true gotslayer. "Actions speak louder than words." That goes right along with a verse from the Bible, (No, I'm not trying to preach to you here or anything.) "Faith without works is dead."
So yes, we need to show people how to be a Christian by loving them unconditionally, not just saying, "Don't give me THAT excuse, just come to Church with me this Sunday!" "Hey stop SINNING like that!" "Sit down and let me read this chapter to you, and you'll see that when you pick your nose you truly are breaking the 11th commandment!"
Speaking like that just pushes people away from God.
So yes, I agree with you.

Agree! The best form of witnessing to others is by living what u believe! Christians ought to be the most loving and unselfish ppl on earth. Christ lived His life in a manner that we should follow. Unfortunately, too many ppl are Christian in name only...perhaps it's the same in other faiths as well.

I agree, here lets even make it easier. What if everyone you come in contact with, was was Jesus, then you would never have to say a word about that R word or have any problems with others. Love has no boundaries and hate has then has no place to hide. I AM. S

That certainly is the definitive question. For as Jesus taught, we are to do, and in so doing we will be judge by our actions not our words.
And this does go for all religions.
I believe the Golden Rule applies here: do under others as you would have them do unto you.

I totally agree...after awhile people just see "christians" as pushy, condemning people, and no one gets to see what God is really like! SHOW IT, REFLECT IT, WITNESS, REPRESENT!!! People have heard it all before, they need to SEE IT.

Amen. I think most people are more comfortable following anyway...give them something they can feel good about being a part of and they won't question it.
