I have 10 piercings and i studied to be a piercer until i settled on teaching. You may not like hearing this, but stick with the ear piercings for now. There are plenty of awesome ear projects you can get, but as you grow because you are so young piercings on your face will not heal as well and are more prone to scarring and keloids. they will not heal properly. give it a couple of years. it'll be worth the wait.

The healing will vary depending on the piercer, the after care you give it and your body's healing mechanism.

Make sure to go to a reputable piercer since there is always the possibility of keliods (those big, red bumpy scars that can form on some people) when you have someone inexperienced do the piercing. Keloids can be taken care of by an MD but do you really want to go through the hassle of all that? And if you can't afford the surgical procedures, the embarrassment of having fleshy pieces on your face?

Once you are pierced follow the after care instructions given to the letter. Don't use anything additional or for longer periods than what is recommended by your piercer.

As for the many facial piercings... it really depends on your face and how well you can carry it. Not everyone looks good with a bunch of hardware on their face. I suggest you try on a clip first to see if you like the look. I had my bottom lip pierced with a 14g and although the size was appropriate it looked too big for my face. I have an 18g now. I experimented with a 16g clip before actually having it pierced.

Oh, and many states require a minimum age of 16 with parental permission for body modification.

Hope this helps!

First off you will need parental consent before getting pierced, most places have rules that if you are under 18, you have to have permission.

The most important thing to consider before you get pierced is the quality of the technicial and the establishment. There are a lot of places out there very willing to take your money and put a hole in you, but not all of them are very good. Ask a lot of questions before you consent to let them work on you. How long has the person been piercing? How were they trained? Do they have an on site autoclave? What methods do they use for sanitation? Look around and see if the place looks clean. Try to find somewhere that have been in business for a while, not just opened.

If they are good at their job, they won't mind sitting down with you and going over all your questions. They should have pictures and examples of different gauges etc. There are lots of ways to pierce, placement, metal choice, guage size etc. Discuss all these. If the folks you talk to want to rush you, or push for things that are "standard". Walk away. Getting pierced is a big deal and they and you need to recognize that, if they aren't willing to put in the time to talk to you, then don't waste your money with them.

I had my eyebrow pierced a few years ago it didnt hurt as bad as i thought it would. it was fast and easy. I liked it alot but it did tear off easily and left a scar its not massive and it didnt really hurt i didnt even notice till i saw the blood.its just a little scar and its not really noticable most people dont even know i use to have one. about piercing your lip i think it would be abit painful but i know alot of people that have it and they have no complaints. good thing about piercings is that the holes do close so dont worry so much just do what u want. and have fun with your new piercings!

piercings are great, but at your age, just start with the ear. it is the easiest to maintain and keep infection free. when you are a little older, then start moving on to facial piercings. make sure you research the care and keeping of piercings before you get any, and get ALL of them done at a professional tattoo & piercing studio, don't just go to a place in the mall. As for hole sizes, it will depend on the placement of the piercing, then you can determine the gauge you will want. you can make the hole as big or as small as you please. the scars are not bad, usually just a small dot. I was terrified of the pain - but it's quick, and the healing process is relatively quick! Hope this helps!

I've had my lip and eyebrow they are out now have been for years you wouldn't notice the scar on my eyebrow. The scar just below lip is much more noticeable but by the time your 18 I doubt you'll want any piercings.

i had a labret and an eyebrow piercing. i took out the labret almost 2 years ago. i still have a tiny little scar there, but it's barely noticeable. the scar by my eyebrow is quite a bit more pronounced. but, i did have lots of problems getting that one to heal.

the amount of scarring is different for everyone, though. if you get big scars or scar easily, then piercing scars will be a bigger problem.

don't worry there is very little pain when you get your ears pierced. as a young attractive person, you could have you left ear pierced with a common ring. later you could have a fake or real depending on your status, right above the ring. i think that looks cool however i tried that and the piercing of the "diamond" hurt so bad , i had to let it go i couldn't sleep for he pain and a friend i know said " did you know you can get blood poisoning from this and it can go to your brain. so i settle led for the one piercing. think about it. that upper thing hurts.

I'm pretty sure it depends on your skin type as to how it will effect your skin in the long run. As for worrying about scars......are you sure you want them if you are worried about this? Not that you shouldn't get them cause its all you dude... no one can tell you how to look or feel about how you look. I can tell you though, no matter what you do now life will change your mind a million times!! So just do it, have fun, don't sweat the small stuff, and chicks dig scars!!!

i started getting piercings when i was 14. i think they are awesome. i did almost all of the ones i have had myself (i don't really recommend it though) i think yours sound cool. i have had my bellybuton, eyebrows, ears, nipples, arms, hand, lip and tongue pierced (all but my tongue more than once) and i love(d) them. i no longer have all of them cause eventually i realized they were dumb...lke having them all the way up my arms just for the shock value. don't worry about regretting them cause you can take them out. the scars are small enough to where most of them become unnoticable after a couple of months.
