Why is society so obsessed with women's looks. It doesn't objectify the female, it objectifies the male.

It's a good question as intelligence does sometimes seem more valued in men than in women - but as a woman I can't answer for the men out there.

1.--they are threatened by intelligent women & 2.- they were raised to have no respect for women. I was in a man's job for almost 20 yrs. You have to be twice as good to get half the respect. I am a college graduate & I worked 2-3 pt time jobs while in college full time & still graduated witha B average!

They want to be seen as the more intelligent one, in a relationship. Only men with a decent amount of confidence are able to keep an intelligent woman happy.

Men speak on average 5000 words less than females per day..(women 9000 approx, and men only 4000)
so it is possible that men are trying to tell us that they are intelligent,but us girls are just so busy talkin that we don't hear him.. ; )

Some of them don't like to admit when a female does something honorable without using her looks. Other times, they just don't notice because a woman's brain isn't what they're most interested in.

I can't date guys who think they're smarter than me. But I want a guy who's at least as intelligent as I am, and recognizes that I am very intelligent as well. So I have to keep looking for doctors and lawyers to throw off that physics degree I got.

probably because nobody gives a crap if a woman is smart. besides, i say all the time that women are smarter than men, and since i speak the word of god, then it must be true and what men do or don't say doesn't matter anyway. silly y-chromosomes.

Went to work today. Didn't do my hair, brush my teeth or wear make up. In fact, to prove your point, I went without any clothes on and guys still gawked and whistled. Why ARE they so obsessed?

my husband is intelligent and we share many interest together. and he look at me as a person not as a body or a mind or even all emotion but as a whole well rounded person with all of theses thing being part of me.
