Great question! I'd tell her I made a choice to believe. The Bible desn't require us to KNOW, but it does require we believe and have faith. Then quote Hebrews 11:6:

"And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him."

Praise God!

You may start with giving God His rightful capitalization of His name. Practice what you preach, show your love for the Lord and obviously the young lady by example and simple beliefs.

The best evidence of God's power is seen in a completely changed life (ie: from a selfish, destructive, hateful person to a renewed, loving, compassionate person). Ppl don't have the strength in and of themselves to change so completely like that!

You were on the right track. One just believes. Then we get to know Christ through His word (the Bible). That's where our wisdom comes in. We form a relationship with Him through his Word, prayer, and allowing the Holy Spirit to come in (this may be too much for her). You have to handle her with kids gloves. She's going to have to believe for herself. I hope it works out for you.

buy her a bible in a simple translation that is easy to read and pray for her - also offer encouragement and help if she needs it. Explain to her about Jesus dying on the cross for her sins and how everyone has an opportunity to respond to this and repent and follow Him. Pray before you speak to her and ask God to lead you by the Holy Spirit.

yes. If she asks how you know God and how you have faith, ask her to prove that China or Asia or Europe exists. She is not seeing it right now, so how can she know it is there. In the same way, we believe in God.

I would tell her:
I know the sound of the truth when I hear it!
The words of the bible have that ring of truth!

It's not your job to keep your friend "on the right track". Back off.
