Personally, I'm a Christian that is tired of the "religious right" dictating how and what I should believe. I'm tired of the church pushing politics. I'm tired of other "christians" that argue with anger and push a religion they know very little about. I'm tired of non-believers pushing thier religion by telling me I'm brainwashed or somehow less intelligent because I believe in a higher power. I was baited into a discussion today about religion and was told I was "Godless" because I didn't agree with some republican veiwpoints. For some reason, in the area I live, if I agree with a republican -I am a right wing religious fundamentalist. If I agree with a democrat, I am an unpatriotic left wing liberal. I'm not sure why or when being a Christian liberal became an oxymoron. I believe in civil liberties -so that makes me a liberal, and I believe in God - so I'm a neo-conservative. I know some responses will be insults, but I needed to vent. Is anyone else tired of politics and religion?

If you're tired of it, why write this tedious tome and bore the cr@p out of the rest of us. Log off.

I understand what you mean. You're not alone! I just try to stay out of it all the best I can cause it'll only get me mad & there's no need for that. It's not going away so I guess my only suggestion is to just ignore it the best you can & SMILE! I never knew there were that many people that didn't believe in God until I came onto Yahoo! Answers. Religion is a big topic here. It's seems atheists have turned around & decided to push their beliefs on us instead of us pushing ours on them. Not that I'm one that does that, but anyways. Have a good one!

Then you need to get off the religion and politics
line of questioning here in Yahoo. Give yourself a
rest. Don't watch news on tv and don't even watch
religious tv shows. When one gets tired of something,
simply change your direction and do something you
enjoy - like walking, swimming, tennis, golf, reading,
cooking, playing games, do something good for someone
else, and meet and eat with friends.

There has actually been stories via the Associated Press over the past several months about the "Religious Left." If you are going to suffer, might as well have company. :)

The Tea social gathering tried, quite perplexing, to characterize people who have been fiscally conservative, yet no longer attracted to banning abortions, banning contraceptives, advertising prayer in college, and so on. regrettably, the Tea social gathering replaced into hijacked by using the Republican social gathering, after Obama replaced into elected, and became it right into a anti-abortion pass.

We all get tired of it sometimes. I just wish we can all learn to love and accept each other and finally work together to make the world more utopian
