I am researching stuff on nicu legal and ethical issues in the nicu. The big question I have seen was the doctors have to decide which babies the help and which ones not to and is it up to the parents to chose to intervene with the infant or the doctors decision. Or another question is which babies to save and which ones not to save

typically for PICU or NICU there are enough doctors that they do not jeopardise the life because of time and numbers constraints, I don't think that early in life anyone encounters parents who refuse treatment for their child either. same actually goes with the emergency room. to save one and the other could die in the meantime is mostly seen in the field on a trauma scene, i would be curious to know where you saw this, good luck
