Do you still have your songs from your old computer? If you do, borrow a USB drive or buy one just for backup purposes (well worth the money... go to Best Buy!), transfer all your songs from your last comp to your drive, and then put that folder onto your new computer. Download iTunes 7.0, and add the music folder back into your iTunes 7. When you connect your iPod, it should say something like it can only be synced with one comp at a time. Just let it update. It's okay...

If it's another scenario where you don't have your songs from the last comp, go to the official website for iPods and see if you can find a way to transfer songs from your iPod to your new comp. That's what I tried to do in the beginning, but I was like, "Who cares? I'll just do it my way since I already have all my files anyway..." I'm thinking that your iPod most likely has built-in capablilities to transfer your songs to your iTunes. When I synced mine up, it didn't delete any of the songs on my iPod except for the ones I had deleted in my original music folder (since they weren't there any more as a reference). However, you should check out the site just in case. OH! And if you're really scared of losing your songs, just write them down or something so that you can DL them again on LimeWire... that's really the worst case scenario.
