Probably for the same reason that Jesus told the demons that He was casting out to stay silent when they were proclaiming that they knew who He was, the Holy Son of God. Neither Jesus nor the Apostles want to have the witness of Satan because if they would have accepted it then it would have been like some politician taking an endorsement from the Ku Klux Klan or some other disreputable organization.

because an oracular spirit means one with the spirit of the python, and it goes back to a false idol. Obviously an evil spirit had taken a hold of this girl, and when he taunted them, they exorcised it.

they had discernment and knew it was an unclean spirit. I think the sense in which this person was doing this would have been in a mocking and disrupting kind of way, making a spectacle and getting in the way of what they had to do.
