go to south of France. The western side has really good "terroir" food. It depends on what you enjoy the most eating, but it goes from "confit de canard" (Gers, Dordogne & Landes), "aligot & estoffinade" (Aveyron), to "cassoulet" (Toulouse) ..... etc !

So various and so good !

You will find the best food in...Paris because all kinds of typical regional foods from France are available in the capital city

Burgundy is one of the best place to eat what one calls "la nourriture du terroir". But in Paris you can find basically all the different type of food that exist in France.

Get out of the city's and into the country side! Try the youth hostel walks and trails. the people are great always willing to greet and share. Its a hard country to go hungry in!
