JustMe had the right idea. Your question would have been better if you'd asked what is your favorite breed. This sounds as though you're asking owners of mutliple dogs to choose their favorite one.

I've had a Black Lab, a Great Dane, a Greyhound, an Irish Setter and assorted mutts. At the time each was a single pet and I loved each one for its own personality. They certainly were different in every respect possible. If I had to choose, I'd feel like I was choosing between my kids.

As for favorite breed: definitely the Greyhound. She was a rescue dog. She was the best behaved dog I've ever had. (The Irish Setter was a wonderful companion, but dumb as his chew toys and hard to train). Another great thing about the greyhound was that they don't bark. A neighbor's dog barks every time I go in my yard or to my car--even though he can't see me. It was so nice having a dog who was alert to people at the door, but didn't go postal.

My dog Thai (shih tzu) who passed away early today from AIHA. He was only 4 years old and an almost perfect dog. He was very loving and affectionate, loyal, almost never barked, never chewed up anything, loved to go camping with us and to be walked everyday. I'll miss him soooo much. sniff, sniff.
